Updated Covid 19 Policy: Classes, Rehearsals and Performances
Updated Covid 19 Policy 3/1/2022
Covid case numbers, hospitalizations and deaths are on a steady decline. As our local advisory level has moved from red to orange (and is expected to go to yellow in the next week to two weeks), and because all school systems in our area are now implementing optional masking, Children’s Theatre of Southern Indiana will no longer require masks in classes, rehearsals, performances and camps. We remain vigilant about sanitizing and other mitigation measures and we wholeheartedly respect continued masking for those who prefer, and for immunocompromised and unvaccinated students and staff.
The Evansville Ballet building still requires masks in common spaces such as lobby and restroom areas. Please continue to wear your mask to enter the building.
If a student, cast member, or staff member is demonstrating symptoms of illness, we ask them to stay home. As with other illnesses, students should not return to class, camp or rehearsal unless they are fever free for at least 24 hours without the use of fever-reducing medication and their symptoms have significantly resolved.
If a student tests positive for Covid-19, they should isolate for 5 days and can return to CTSI activities on Day 6 if no symptoms are present, but they should plan to mask for an additional 5 days in rehearsals or classes.
